Alright. First and foremost, if ANYONE looking at this does not own the DS game "Retro Game Challenge", stop reading, get on Amazon.com, and buy it immediately. If you do not own a Nintendo DS, buy one, and then get this game. Hell, even if you have no desire to own a Nintendo DS, just buy the game anyways. It's that good, you don't even need the system that plays it to appreciate it.
Haggle Man is a character from Retro Game Challenge that was localized for the US by the amazing XSEED, and they aren't able to bring over the sequel because even though the first is incredible, sales didn't go to well. This is why I say to buy it, and if you do, you can forward your proof of purchase to this awesome fan who will send in return for completely free, a Haggle Man button.
Alright enough of the fan sales pitch, onto the plushie! Making an 8-bit plush has been something I've been thinking about for quite a while, and I decided on Haggle Man to be the first attempt at seeing if it could happen. Jenna and I began with just drawing out his sprite outline on graph paper, cut it out twice on some black felt, made all the little details of the sprite, sewed them on the front side, and then made tons of different "border" pieces the were sewed around the two pieces to make them come together. I think it turned out incredibly well even though some of the blocks didn't "fit" together perfectly on the whole thing, and he makes a seriously great pillow.
Agreed, he does rule! I really hope someone down the line will fan-translate the sequel or something, it would be a shame never to have it localized... I need more Haggle Man!
I'm going to put this in my group gallery. Don't worry, I'm not stealing this, because of the new Group feature enables users to put deviations while not "stealing", though, if you have any objections, I will remove this from the group gallery ASAP.
This thing will DEFINETELY spread the word of that game I like so much so XSEED will be convinced to get the game back in print! That game got rare quickly, you know. And, you know, supply and demand.
I'm not too sure what Deviant groups are but I'm all for fans of RCG and supporting the series, so do what you like!
XSEED is a great company and they're always so polite whenever I send them down an email to compliment them on their work or to ask them questions. If you like RCG, be sure to let them know and remind them there are still fans out there supporting it in every way.
The game is still readily available for a cheap price on Amazon and is not yet a rare out of print game, but I would love to see demand for it get it to that point eventually.

its nice to know there are some polite people on the internet... right?
I believe in Jesus Christ my Savior. If you are too, and aren't scared to admit it, then copy and paste this in your signature.
