Dear Nintendo,

PLEASE MAKE SUPER MARIO RPG 2!!! You guys keep talking about working closely with third-party companies, so please get together with Square-Enix and bang out a glorious Wii-U sequel and/or 3DS remake of the original. You have already granted my wish for a Luigi's Mansion sequel which will seriously never be forgotten, but there is another beyond excellent game of yours that has needed to be revisited for over 15 years. With the Paper Mario series now making its way to the 3DS, I would be overjoyed to see Super Mario RPG come back and take over as the console "Mario RPG" experience. To entice you to make this game, I have baked you a plush cake.

Best Wishes,
Michael W.

JENNA: *Poke, poke, poke!*
MICHAEL: Ouch, OUCH! Vat are you doing?!
JENNA: Chef Michael! The cake's MOVING!
MICHAEL: Vas?! Ist NOT moving! Back to verk!
JENNA: I KNOW it was moving!

*Ahem* We've made the most AMAZING cake! You won't believe it!!

This plush is close to 3 ft. tall of pure awesome, and was completely inspired by Rio McCarthy's own amazing Super Mario RPG Bundt cake [link]

Our plush took quite a few months of work for both Jenna and I to complete, and it was made for my older brother Steven's 25th birthday. My brother got me into video games when I was very young, and I owe him quite a bit for guiding my interests and introducing me to many of the series, characters, and companies that I've grown up to love so very much. Thank you wonderful brother, and happiest of birthdays!

JENNA: *Poke, poke, poke!*
MICHAEL: Ouch, OUCH! Now vat?
JENNA: Chef Michael! The cake's MOVING!
MICHAEL: Talk no more of zees!
JENNA: No! Really, truly. Why would I lie?
MICHAEL: Because you are…IDIOT! Zee! It IS NOT moving!
BOTH: … Huh?!
MICHAEL: Zee cake's alive! RUN!!
JENNA: See? I was RIGHT!

The pattern for this plush was drawn up completely by me, and as always was cut, sewn, and crafted together by both Jenna and I. Each layer is detachable and held together by velcro, and the bottom part, Rasberry, looks pretty cool on its own with all the colored poms we put on it. I'll put up some more pictures on my flickr sometime soon. Also, if ANYONE knows what the #$*! that blue thing is on Raspberry's side in concept art/sprite art ([link] [link]), I'll be forever grateful!

That living cake used to freak me out when I played this game as a kid.

I'm right there with you on that one. I first watched my older brother play through the game when it originally came out, and at the time I was pretty young. Something about a living cake, and the way it looked and moved reeeeeally creeped me out for some reason. It's since become one of my favorite gaming moments/scenes/bosses, but definitely freaked me out too as a kid.

This is epic; any other mario rpg characters you're thinking of making? I dunno know about you, but I always loved the Jawfuls. Seriously, what was up with those guys? Their existence doesn't seem to add up; I mean, where the hell did they come from? Where'd they go? If you make a cotton eye joe joke then I'm going to bite you XD

I'd also freaking kill for a snifit. No, seriously, I will wipe out an entire species of your choice if you make me a plush snifit. Any species, seriously, it can even be mosquitoes if you want. I would eat a car for one. I would curb stomp myself for one.

Thanks! No other SMRPG character plushes on our plate currently, we've got a huge multi-part project lined up that I've been slowly trying to get through for the past year, and I need to finish it!

IF I was to make another character, it would absolutely be either a Snifit or Booster himself. ...or the Axem Rangers.... or a giant Exor/Bowser's Castle plush.... or Johnny Jones... or a Tub-O-Troopa... or Belome... or Frogfucious....... etc. etc. etc. Seriously, when you think about it, there are just waaaaay too many fantastic characters to choose from in that game. If I had the talent, time, and child-slaves, I would love to make them all. Alas... :(

Thank you very much, he was a lot of work!

I grew up playing SMRPG as well and try to replay it as often as possible. There's really nothing else like it out there, and the game is never far from my thoughts. It holds an extremely huge place in my heart!
